VOLCANO TOURS

RAPIDS TOURS

Whitewater Rafting, Pacuare River Class IV

The tour begins with the drive to Tres Equis, Turrialba.  You will stop to have a typical Costa Rican breakfast along the way at a quaint local restaurant.  Upon arrival, your guides will greet you with the equipment to start this wonderful adventure. Each participant will receive a life jacket, helmet, and paddle. The guides will explain the safety tips and provide a practice run before facing whitewater rafting at Pucuare, Huacas, Cimarrones and Dos Montañas.  Pacuare is considered to have the most beautiful rivers in Costa Rica, and worldwide it's known as one of the best whitewater rafting rivers attributed to its scenic beauty.  Waterfalls, hiking trails and diversity of flora and fauna are amongst some of the adventures you will encounter.  Butterflies, sloth, toucans, red frogs and a great variety of birds are just a few of the wonders you will be able to observe.  This is a 3 ½ hour journey and approximately 18 miles in length. The minimum age for participants is 12 years old.  Once the river journey is complete, you will be driven to Siquirres, a Province of Limón, for a shower and a typical Costa Rican lunch.
